The candidate will also complete onsite experience with their employer for a minimum of 100 days completing their ‘On the Job” task sheets and collect any relevant portfolio evidence e.g. copies of job sheets, photographs, witness statements etc.  During this period the trainee will need to present; at regular intervals, their portfolio to the training centre for us to monitor progress of the portfolio and completion of the paperwork.

The candidate will be required to attend the training centre for verification of the completed portfolio.

Following verification of the information supplied, the candidate will be required to undertake a GGFO Assessment in line with current ERS procedures.

On successful completion of this and on receipt of a certificate for the GGFO Assessment the candidate will be able to complete their ACS Assessments which will allow them to start working as a fully qualified Gas Engineer when registered with Gas Safe.

Our course cost includes all the centre-based training, portfolio advice and guidance, course study materials and relevant assessments/qualifications.

As the course dates for the training are pre-determined and communicated in advance of the course, any missed dates or non-attendance for any reason will result in the candidate having to pay further costs for one-to-one training to complete the required minimum hours of the training programme.

It is important that any placements or employment is maintained throughout the duration of the training programme.  Any loss of placement or employment will result in suspension from the training programme and no refund or partial refunds will be issued.  The employment is the sole responsibility of the candidate, and we cannot assist with placements in any way.  As courses may only run annually it is unlikely, following suspension, that candidates can be transferred to future courses or catch up, unless an immediate placement is found by the candidate. It will be up to the training centres discretion to allow candidates to continue with the course and could result in further cost to the candidate.
